Fattoria di Cavaglioni in Siena is a wonderful place to stay. We took the local bus into Siena for the day and we were glad to get back to the quiet and peacefulness of the countryside. Anna and her daughter Bernice do a great job of maintaining the charm and old world energy of the place. It has been in their family for centuries and you can tell that they take great pride in the land and making it a place in which travelers feel very welcome. they both peak English which was beneficial. had a fantstic stay there.mother and daughter were always helpful for any info and both spoke good english.The ideal place to stay if you want to enjoy the serenity and beautiful views yet close enough to enjoy the cities both sienna and florence. My brother and I stayed for two nights at Fattoria di Cavaglioni. What a huge mistake. We should have spent an entire week at this place. It was by far our favorite place of the dozen or so we stayed at during a six-week trip to Europe from our home in the U.S. The building itself is one of this B&B's greatest assets. I believe the maitre d' told us the villa was first built in the 15th or 16th c. with most of the interior preserved from the 19th c. Man is this place beautiful. The best hostel I have stayed in! Although about 10-15 minutes bus from Siena, the hostel is more like a private villa, with the rolling Tuscan hills the backdrop. Absolutely stunning location, staff helpful and friendly, spacious room, common area with kitchen and free internet. For the price it is amazing. No negatives! Elisa, from Australia ~ 26th May 2010
