Golden Gobi is the 1 best place to stay in UB Mongolia. It is a family run Hostel and they are very friendly and helpful. They also arrange tours in the city and the countyside The mother always offers us coffee each time we are in the office. They have same day laundry service, Wi-Fi, and each time we wanted to go somewhere they would help us. They are centrally located and you can walk to the malls, grocery stores, restaurants. I was really comfortable in Golden Gobi and I felt like at home. The bed was really good and it was so cool to have two living rooms with TV to watch movies and to be with the other guests. Also good to have computers and WIFI. The staff is really helpful and friendly and there is very nice atmosphere, you feel like in a family. They taught me to cook dumplings!! amazing! Probably the best place to stay in Ulan Bator! Cheap, Clean, close to all the facilities and very friendly staff! They organize tours with good guides and drivers so it is a nice place to stay in UB and to organize a tour in the country side! This place is run by a family with an attention span of maximum 40 seconds. It'll take you hours to get anything done with the staff, since they loose interest in your request remarkably quick. We wanted to go on three tours, but gave up after the first one and booked the other two with a proper tour company. The tour we took with Golden Gobi was really good, but it took hours of confusion, frustration and nagging to get it booked. And our room wasn't cleaned for a full week! For UB, certainly one of the best picks in this price range, and a cool place to meet other travelers. Stayed here with my wife and kids.The best thing about this hostel is the people running it - super nice family that looks after every request in an effective and efficient way.They booked a tour for us through the hostel and gave us a really good price.Guides were awesome!We'd stay here again in a second.Love the downstairs for movies.Wifi was really handy.Super people and the little hangour area was nice.
