My boyfriend and I visited Toronto for our Spring Break trip from the States. The hostel was wonderful. The staff was very informative and helpful with all of our questions. All had great interest in listening to any concerns that may have arisen. The complimentary meals of either breakfast or dinner were delicious. The Cavern, which is the bar in the basement was very clean and welcoming as well as the lounge on the first floor. The hostel had young type environment with the tenants. Excellent hostel.The staff facilitate excursions and hanging out with other hostel guests, there's a cool common room with a pool table, a plethora of bathrooms, and very solid location.My only complaints are that my room smelled very very musty, the staff was not always very knowledgable about parking and other things we asked them about, and since there's a pub on-site, you can't drink your own alcohol in the hostel. only partial lighting works in the room. wifi doesn't work in the room, only in the first floor. i stayed in the 2nd floor, there's a smell once walked out the elevataor and the light is just not enough. trying to save the money on electricity??? luwen, from Taiwan ~ 15th Feb 2013
