Very nice small hostel, feels like being in a home / B&B ! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere with other backpackers. Dorms are clean, maybe a bit small though ... bathrooms are OK. Thing is La Serena as a city is dull and not worth it ... so I would not recommend staying in La Serena more than 2 days ! Go to Valle de Elqui, it is so much better ... but if you have to stay in La Serena for one or two nights then this is a great place, you gonna love it. Samuel, from France ~ 14th Apr 2013

the staff was really nice and helpfull, it was clean and has hot water. there are no lockers on all of the rooms, but for the ones without one, you get the key for the room so the door can be closed leah, from Israel ~ 19th Nov 2012

Initially booked in for 2 nights ,stopped for 5 nights , Isabella and her crew create a warm relaxing friendly enviromentAfter stopping in less freindly and less equipped hostels this was a great stay . Thanks very much john, from England ~ 25th Oct 2012

Small home-like hostel next to the Japanese Gardens. Super clean, very comfy beds, nice breakfast and great and helpful staff/owners. Juanita and Isobel are lovely and motherly - they make you feel like you are at home! Not a party hostel, more a cosy and friendly place. Simon, from Australia ~ 26th Apr 2012
