Great place to stay, unbelievable atmosphere - calm, lovely decorated, great equiped. Breakfast included also ham, cheese and fruit so this was pretty nice surprise after all sweet breakfasts everywhere. I would definitely recomend this one to everybody. The staff here are so nice and they all spoke English, which was helpful as I'm still learning Portuguese. The neighbourhood is safe and very close to public transport (Rato and Marques de Pombal on the Metro) and a 5 minute walk from Avenida da Liberdade. The lockers are plastic buckets with locks on them, but the rooms are secure. I absolutely recommend this hostel - EXCELLENT facilities, great staff and beautiful location. A very nice place to stay. In the neighbourhood you will find on the 191, same street, a few meters from the hostel, a nice restaurant with light portuguese food, where you can have a little lunch for 5€ for 1/2 sized plate or 8€ for a complete one. To relax in the shadow, read a book with a good real lemon tea (0.6€) you will have to walk to the little parc next to the old aqueduct and take place on the terrace of the Quiosque das Amoreias.
