Very beatiful house and my room was big and comfortable. The breakfest buffet was the best I have had in Mexico. I liked that there was one common computer with internet. The negative thing was that the visitors could smoke in the common areas and the couches were dirty and stained by smoke. Noora, from Finland ~ 11th May 2013

Positive aspects: The hostel zocalo has the perfect localization and the staff is very friendly. They serve an outstanding complimentary breakfast. Minus: No air condition, more ventilators are needed, because Mérida is really hot! Toilets are not working well so are often dirty. They clean frequently however and whenever it´s needed.Smoking accepted, but even as a anti-smoker I was not bothered much because of open air at the eating place and ventilaters. The location is perfect, central to all activities. The breakfasts are amazing, filled with tropical fruits, cereal, bread, omelet and coffee and juice. I had a great time there and the price was perfect. Oh, and the tours were well organized. christine, from USA ~ 17th Mar 2013

Zocalo has a great staff, amazing breakfast, awesome location, great price, wifi, and the list goes on..... I spent 3 days there a week ago and had a really great stay. Reported some issues with the toilets and was assured they would be addressed. Laurie Ann, from USA ~ 2nd Mar 2013

It's a beautiful buildingwith excellent location in the main plaza, like a palace. If you'll take a room with balkony,you'll be able to watch all the events passing by-like carnaval-just from your room.
