Hotel Fukudaya (Asakusa) in , Japan

Places like this are built for and targeted at businessmen who want a cheap bed and not much else, so if your expectations aren't too high, it's great.Tatami needed a more diligent sweeping but otherwise linens/towel, shower/toilet, etc, were clean.The AC appearscentrally controlled for entire building and wasn't on, but luckily the night was cool and window large.Pretty quiet area/building.For less than 3k yen for a private in Tokyo, can't beat it.I'll stay again. we stayed 5 nights at Fukudaya Hotel and we enjoyed it. Location is not great (20 min walk from asakusa station). Dont go there if you are looking for a party atmosphere or want to meet people. There´s only 2 showers in the hotel, they are pretty clean, shampoo and soap provided. Hot showers, good pressure. Staff doesnt speak any english. The room is japanese style, with tatamis, no beds.
