Khangsar Guest House in Kathmandu, Nepal

The hostel is perfect located in southern Thamel. Shops and restaurants are nearby. The price is very reasonable for what you get here - free pick up service from international airport, free wifi, hot shower day/night, clean rooms and espacially a very friendly and helpful staff. The roof top garden is located on the shopping streets side - sitting in the sun, relaxing, enjoying tea, you can watch the life on the small busy street. Good location - easy to walk to main streets and Durbar Square, but not quite in the chaos of Thamel. Rooms are fine, staff is mostly friendly, and the location on the edge of the tourist district is quiet enough yet not too far from the action. Recommended. Derek, from USA ~ 1st Oct 2012
