Koine Hostel has potential but was definitely our least favorite of all the hostels we stayed at. The location is pretty good, it is close to a lot of major shopping and restaurants and not too far from St. Matthew's tomb. We did our best shopping in Salerno :) There were sketchy people staying at the hostel, and they were all older, like middle aged or older. We didn't feel very safe there, but thankfully we had our own room that we were able to lock from the inside while we slept. It was dir Katie, from USA ~ 3rd May 2012

When we first arrived it seemed like a nice enough place, decent location, very friendly staff, relatively clean facility, but there were very few backpackers stayin there. This hostel mostly serves as a shelter for street vendors and a few older men who seem to just hang out all day and watch TV. Also, it could have been a bit cleaner. If you plan on visiting Salerno, just spent a few Euros more for a cheap hotel. Joseph, from USA ~ 4th Jul 2010
