I have always had pleasant service staying in hostel but this was a terrible experience! The man at the front desk was rude and unhelpful when I asked for his help. I am just learning french and so I speak very slowly but everyone else I met in Quebec was incrediably friendly and understanding except for this man. If you do not enjoy working with international people or answering questions do not work in customer service! I would not reccommend staying here!!!! Catherine, from USA ~ 4th May 2013

The staff was very helpful, and the hostel was quite at night, but the beds and pillows were incredibly hard and loud (plastic covered), and the fans in the bathrooms were not working (not so pleasant for washrooms off a common area). Daniel on the front desk very helpful and should probably work somewhere better. This hostel is fine if you are staying for a while and on a budjet and not really caring about experiencing the city. The toilets and shower DO STINK OF URINE and the rooms are dingy, dark, the pillows and mattress are plastic. The boss is very rude and DOES have a dog so no doubt there would be fleas. We have stayed in numerous backpacker hostels so far, this one was the least well kept. The most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept. They were groaning in a small move. Kitchen equipments were extremely dirty. Coffee machine was totally mould. The bar across the street was causing a lot of noise. We could not sleep so we had to change our room next day.
