Mount Eccles Court in Dublin, Ierland

me and my 4 friends stayed a whole weekend in the hostel and we were absolutely surprised! - payed less money for a 5-bed-room than in any other hostels in Dublin - big room with cupboard and private basin - delicious 1€- Breakfast - showers/ bathroom were acceptable - possibility to lock suitcases after check-out for free - very close to main shopping streets and bus stations it's a very active hostel and often noisy, but we all slept well- that's the most important. There are no lockers for your luggage in the room (there is one in the basement but you have to rent it and it's too small) and there were just 2 showers for the whole floor (I have to say that I always found at least one free), but aside from that it's a great place, really centric and good value. It could be a nice location, since the hostel is located in two antique houses, but especially the second house we were staying in was in a very bad condition. Our room was run-down and had not been cleaned very well and the hall was also in a very bad state with dust and leaves lying about everywhere and cracks in the wall, a shattered front window etc. It seemed like they were planning to renovate the building, however, we asked ourselves why then they let customers in before doing so. Been to Mount Eccles several times throughout this year and it has always been a pleasant place to stay in. Very high levels of cleanliness, excellent facilities in a wonderful location, a few steps from the James Joyce Center and a couple minutes walk from Parner Square and O'Connell Street.
