a safe, quiet, extremely clean hostel - all very much appreciated qualities after hosteling for some time.this hostel is great if you don't enjoy being woken up at 3 am by drunk 18 year olds (i was one of them once but i'm a bit older now and appreciate my sleep :))only downside is you can only get wifi in common areas.staff are great, particularly habina (i think i spelled it wrong) she's incredible, so genuinely helpful and sweet. 2 min walk to tube station.amazing. Very good stay. Beds are a bit too small and the carpet needs cleaning in the room where I stayed, and it was unfortunate that there was no Wi-Fi available in the rooms, only in the lobby. But otherwise everything was very enjoyable! The showers and toilets were nice and clean, my room was nice (a bit chilly at night though) and the staff were all very nice and helpful. Very close to the metro stop, the neighborhood is decent, the hostel building was beautiful. Would definitely come back. Marguerite, from USA ~ 14th Nov 2012

I can really recommend Palmers Lodge, it was around 11minutes with the tube from the central of london (and they run every 2 minutes) Very nice staff and comfortable beds! i checked out very early so i missed the breakfast, so no comment about that. I really liked this place.It's in a nice, out of the way part of London and the historic building is very Hogwarts.Some of the larger rooms sound intimidating in terms of number of beds, but each bed is kind of a built-in with it's own curtain and a light inside.I would definitely stay here again.
