Ivo, the guy we rented from, spoke good english and was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We rented a twin-bed room with bathroom for 5 nights for a nice price. The room was adjacent to his apartment because ha was fully booked in his own 3-4 rooms. He was handling our room for his neighbor. The room also had a small and newish refridgerator. This hostel in Split was without doubt the best hostel that we stayed in on our holiday. Located just outside the walls of the palace it was up a side road that was quiet and away from the hordes of tourists. There was a supermarket 2 doors down so good for supplies. The room, we had an en suite was amazing, super clean with a fridge, cable TV, A/C and a small balcony which made for an excellent stay. Thanks. Very clean - more like a private apartment than a hostel. Not the place to meet people but an awesomely inexpensive substitute for a hotel in the center of town. Oh...and even though it's not actually INSIDE oldtown, it's still a 2 minute walk from the city walls. Besides, it's pretty crowded in there anyways :)
