The Ryokan Maizuru was a truly wonderful place to stay if you're looking for a more authentic Japanese experience.The staff were kind and friendly and had loads of suggestions for places for us to go, and the tatami rooms were beautiful and came with a kotatsu and Japanese pyjamas included, useful for a quick bathroom run!We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the bath and futon sets in particular.Would definitely stay there again as it is only 4 stops from Ueno.
