Sandakan Backpackers in Sandakan, Maleisie

The staff was really nice here. They helped me book a tour and the night worker was really fun to talk to. I think that Sandakan doesn't really have much to do. I guess it's just a good place to head off on some jungle trips. There isn't much around town, but this hostel is close to the water and restaurants. Jill, from USA ~ 11th Mar 2013

I stayed in hostel for a couple of days and the staff was super friendly and helpful advising you on trips you can do and getting bus tickets when travelling on. Dorm room was very clean and toilets / bathrooms were clean but a bit run down. Location of the hostel is very good, close to the seafront where you find many restaurants and shops.
