This was the first hostel I'd ever stayed in. Myself and my boyfriend stayed for 3 nights in late July. The other reviews are right, the hostel is more like a pub with some dorm rooms above it. The rooms are SO cramped, but we didn't know any different so we didn't mind too much. There is almost nowhere to store your things in the room, and if you have messy roommates...you're going to have to step on their stuff to get to your bed. Since the hostel is basically a pub with some rooms in the top floor there's no proper common room, except for the pub. I found it difficult to find a place to relax after a long day since the pub area was quite lively in the evenings. The bunk beds were three on top of each other so there wasn't enough room to sit in the bed. Also, there were way too many beds per room. It was a great place with a location you can't beat. When a drain clogged in the shower the staff dropped what they were doing and went up to fix it. That is important because they only have two showers and two toilets. It was probably one of the cleanest hostels I stayed in. The biggest drawback where the cramped rooms. We had 12 to a room and just a narrow shoulder width walk way between 4 3-story bunk beds. Cheap and a great location. You get what you pay for. Rooms are small, cramped and you feel like your sleeping in a submarine. But overall, can't beat the location, right across the river from the sights. Andrew, from USA ~ 25th May 2011
