Toms Guest House in , Hong Kong

Have stayed in several hostels in Mirador Mansions and Chungking Mansion.Toms Guest House is one of the better ones.Owner and staff very friendly.Excellent location for visiting Hong Kong in heart of Kowloon.MTR subway 2 minute walk.Entry to building similar to lively market in Southeast Asia or Middle East.Single room very small about 10 square meters and may not have window. Its one of the hundreds in Chunking Mansions, but it has a kitchen with fridge to keep your own stuff and a water dispenser, great if you dont like paying too much on the street for a simple bottle of water. When i was there, end of march 2011, there was a filipine young woman managing the hostel (sorry, i dont remember her name). She is a lovely and kind person, with a genuine smile and happiness, who treated me better than the staff of a four stars hotel. Ten stars for her. Anton, from Spain ~ 19th Mar 2012
