The front desk is only open for a couple hours at a time so when I arrived I had to sit around for an hour and a half before someone arrived to check me in.The place is nice, didn't have a hostel feel to it, more like a house.The water pressure in the showers is terrible...there were a couple times within 5 minutes of showering that the water would just be dripping out of the shower head.Staff was friendly and rooms were good prices. Nice hostel directly on the promenade with sea views. Got a room upgrade so we didn't have to sleep in a bunk. Much appreciated! The bathrooms could use a bit more cleaning and maintenance, though. Anika, from Germany ~ 15th Sep 2011

A great place to stay, very clean and tidy, a clear commitment recycling, good facilities and courtyard area, very helpful, efficient and personable staff. who are only too willing to help. Close to pretty much everything in central Napier. only minus would be the double room was smaller than anticipated, but not a problem really. 99.9% happy. Sean, from New Zealand ~ 25th Apr 2011
