The staff here are particularly friendly and very helpful! The opening hours of reception may be a problem for some as it closes early, sometimes 4pm. It's a very relaxed atmosphere with a small number of people staying. It's a few miles from the centre of the city, but the area it's located (Chapel Street) is a fantastic place for individual shops, that stretches for miles. Could be slightly cleaner but it's resonably priced and as mentioned, the staff are far more friendly and helpful than mos

This is a good hostel if you want to get drunk or high or both and by that time the mice in the kitchen probably wouldent bother you. The walls were paper thin and ppl were making noise until the early hours. It was also pretty far from town and full of long term loud british ppl.
If you want to party you will have a blast, if you want to sleep, you wont.
Sorry you did not like the hostel, however the walls are all double brick, as it is a 150 year old Victorian terrace.
Perhaps a hotel is more your thing, but at $26 per night?
We are 10 minutes from the city centre, if you wish to go there as its only full of office blocks Yes most of our guests love to party and you should have complained if you wanted to sleep and we could have given you a quiet dorm in the front of the hostel, all you have to do is ask.

Nice little hostel, only few rooms, so it's not crowded. Nice staff and location, 15 minutes walk to the beach. Clean rooms and beds. They should do some refurbishment in the bathrooms, but it's still ok.
thanks for your comments, but the bathrooms were renovated 18 months ago, would like to know what to add if you wish to email us, as the ones at the back are brand new and the ones inside are fully renovated in 2006
