I found this hostel to be just right for my needs and it while it wasn't the best of fun, it was perfect for me because it was nice a quiet and in an area that's not very busy. It overlooks a court yard and is very tranquil. Common room is a bit dull though.

Transylvania hostel is the best hostel I have never stayed at a hostel where everything was 100% satisfaction. The staff excel themselves with friendliness and willingness to help - (even accompanying us to a bar/restaurant of 'local' choice). The only thing that could be improved are the directions to the hostel from the train station... more detail and precision needed - but our time there was well worth it!!! I love Cluj :)
