Retro Moldova Hostel is a brand new hostel opened to provide a comfortable and safe stay for travelers in Chisinau. The Hostel is ideally located in the city center of Chisinau. It is a 4-minute walk from the major attractions such as the Cathedral and the Central Park.
It is a small and cozy Hostel composed of 2 dorm rooms, 1 private room and two common area. We also offer free coffee and tea all day long, as well as free breakfast (not for Jan-Feb period)! There is a well-equipped kitchen at guests� disposal. We also provide drinks, snacks and traditional dinners for those who want to relax on our comfy balcony in the evening or in the underground Bunker that gives you an image of �good-old� Soviet times and cool you in hot summer nights.
You can enjoy 24-hour hot showers that you might have problems finding in other places. We also offer tours to Orheiul Vechi and Transnistria/Tiraspol, and are happy to provide all necessary information that you need to travel to neighboring countries.
All main bars, clubs, and grocery shops are all located within very short-walking distance from the Hostel. Friendly, English-speaking staff is ready to assist you 24 hours.

Place it fine. Firstly it's hard to get there, don't be afraid when you see first time this place. Hostel is located in a normal flat (3 rooms) where is only one bathroom (include toilet). I can recommend to stay in a bunker - just ask stuff. Stuff it's helpfull but the owne - horrible. About breakfast - better prepare your own. It cannot be called breakfast. The building is old and entrance looked a little creepy,but once I got in,whole impression changed.Olga greeted me,showed me around and it was a really pleasant experience.The staff was very friendly and helping,everything is very clean,smells good,bathroom is excellent.A lot of attention to detail,with clever signs everywhere,good Wi-Fi, kitchen,offered me their laptop if I don't have one,a map and took time with directions,rooms with lockers...Very pleasant experience and incredible value!
