Shaxi, China - the last remaining ancient market town on the historical Tea & Horse Caravan Trail. Located in an authentic and traditional Bai Minority courtyard, our hostel is a traditional Bai buiding, 200ms from the long distance bus station.
Our restaurant serves homemade breakfast and Western food. Join the family during our shared meals at lunch and dinner to try local, traditional Chinese food. Our food is all fresh home made and MSG-free. We care about your experience at Shaxi, so we will do our best to make stay as memorable and comfortable as possible. We want to be your Shaxi family and support your life on the road. Each of us have our own journey, and while they are different, we share a common desire for adventure. Shaxi Aotou courtyard located on the way from bus station to the town center: the square. We are the first guest house you can see on your left side after you enter the old town, and 200 meters from the bus station, 400 meters from the square.

The place was so beautiful, an old Naxi house with a courtyard with chicken and vegetable garden an so on. It is runned by a Naxi family, so nice but they can't speak any English and have poor internet skills, so I got there and they had no report of my booking. They asked me to pay double the price they announce on the web because it was the Golden Week, so I had to argue for an hour or so to get the price I booked for. Appart from that, they were absolutely lovely, so I stayed one more night! Bet, from Spain ~ 9th Oct 2012
