Downtown Lodge is centrally located in Grindelwald and ideal for active, young and young-at-heart individual guests, families and groups.
Our total of 5 lodges with 33 rooms and nearly 300 beds offer a comprehensive infrastructure at attractive rates, including free use of the kitchen, free Internet stations and W-LAN/Wifi as well as an extensive range of entertainment. We can accommodate 20-280 persons for groups of any kind.
The main building houses the Downtown Bar, a bistro with an attractive range of drinks.

This is not a fancy hostel, but it was a good place to stay. It was about a 10 minute walk from the train station. The bathrooms were clean. There is a bar and food available. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Patricia, from USA ~ 10th Aug 2012

Great service from the staff. The young lady at the front desk is very direct, honest and very helpful, no gray areas, LOL, a great ambassador for the hostel. The hostel provides a good atmosphere, good facilities, a sense of security, and a fantastic location. Great value for money! I\'ll be back again. Marek, from Australia ~ 10th Jul 2012
