Cenrally located in Madrid. The bar was fun. The free internet was nice. The staff were always very nice and helpful.

Very nice hostel, I would recommend it to everybody! The staff is very friendly, the rooms are in good order and the music which is played in the bar during the evenings is the best choice I ever experienced in a hostel!! :-)

We are a family (three girls of 14,20,22 years and a boy (16)and the parents) We reserved a room for six persons, but we got two rooms 201 and 216. For us a scandal! Room 201 was an ugly room with bad smell. We were astonished that a room like this will be reserved for tourists! The window to the backyard could`nt closed correctly. It would be possibly to get from another room in 201 trough the window. As father I couldn`t take the responsability for this room. So we dislocated with two beds in

Parfait à tout point de vue, sauf peut-etre un peu bruillant pour les chambres coté rue (mauvaise isolation des fenetres).

The check-in staff was very friendly, as was the barkeeper. The lady overseeing the breakfast was very rude though. The rooms were clean and uncomplicated. Very nice hostel for the price. However, there was NEVER any hot water in the morning.

Key system really did suck. It's dumb if you've got multiple groups of people who don't know each other staying in the same room. Also, someday Europe will wise up and get rid of smoking in public places. Until then, this hostel gets a 0% cleanliness rating. Smoking allowed in all the hostel common rooms, really really sucks. Yeah it's a bar area, but it's still the only place to hang out in the hostel. Very uninviting to people who can't handle smoke. Other than these two issues (whi

I was extremely dissappointed in my stay here. I stayed at Centric Point in Barcelona and was impressed with the moderness of the hostel. Metropol was a complete opposite. The bunk beds made a sqeeking noise when you moved, the bathroom was dirty, the key policy was not comfortable, the breakfast didn't have enough variety. From the outside it looks great, but the inside is still stuck in the 1950s. I will NOT recommend this hostel to anyone.

Very nice hostel, perfectly located RIGHT next to a metro stop on line one, right in the middle of the city. Breakfast and linens were included, which was very convenient, and they had a nice system of security. The only complaint I have is that they only have one key for each room, which means if you come in late, you have to wake up your roommates to have them let you in.

The location is great and overall the hostel was good. Do expect prostitutes around the hostel although they are harmless and let you be. There are no lockers in the room but they do have a safe for your smaller belongings. We did not have a problem with out a locker.
