The Hippodrome has lots of character, and was pretty clean for us, but its in a kind of scummy part of town. It's cheap, and relatively close to the scenic parts of Montmartre, but also on the same street as about 100 porn shops and strip clubs. Moulin Rouge was like 1/4 mile away.

You shouldn't expect much for this money. I found what I was looking for - just a bed with a shower for 1 night. Location is quite good: close to metro, Moulin Rouge - 100 meters, Monmartre...

really nice place if you dont have much money. but remember: you get what you pay for. the rooms arent luxurious but everything works properly and they are nice and clean. staff is very friendly.

No A/C, no elevator, easy to find, free internet, staff was amazing, near Moulin Rouge, felt very safe.

Location good! Rooms small but hey I hope you dont spend too much time in them anyway! Easy to find way around with Metro close by! Not much English at the front desk but enough to get by!

Perfect location, nice restaurants nearby, plenty of stuff to see and to do in the neighbourhood. Hotel is quite noisy so bring your earplugs!For the price, the hotel is great.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hippodrome. I even came back to Paris and stayed there another night. This is a very convenient location. Some of the staff doesn't speak english but you are in France dang it! All of the staff were very friendly.
