Good location on Old Arbat, and was full when we were there which is what made it fun; lots of fellow travellers to chat with. The owner was very professional, and two of the girls who worked there were very friendly and helpful; one guy, while not too bad with us, was not helpful at all with others, and not very friendly either. Rooms were fine, beds were good, but there is no 6 bed dorm as advertised; one 8 bed, one nine bed, and people had to sleep on the sofa in the kitchen a couple of times

The location and price are great, but you get what you pay for - the single shower does not drain (which is lame when you are dying for a nice shower after 4 days on the train); beware the spooky ancient elevator and the eight stories of crumbling stairs; and there was no blanket and staff was aloof.

Great location, that's for sure ! But really too small, we were up to 9 persons inside a small room... Staff, security and fun are OK, nothing to complain about. You definitely want to go there if you are looking for a good price/quality ratio.

A cosy hostel tucked away on Old Arbat. The hostel itself is nicely decorated and the atmosphere is clean and easy-going, but small - there are only two bedrooms in the entire place, and a single communal bathroom. Guests and staff are great fun, though. It's nice to come back late at night to a room full of travellers and staff, lounging around in the kitchen and chatting over drinks.

Tough to find; but right on Arbat Street and a 5-10 minute walk to the Kremlin.
Excellent value.

The location is perfect, in Old Arbat, you have the Metro a 2 minutes, and the Red Square walking about 10 minutes.
It's very cheap, and the staff is very very very helpful. It's a small hostel, I think it's impossible get more for less money. There are security box with individual key and the shower always had hot water.
When I return to Moscow, I will go to Sweet Hostel Old Arbat. Bye bye

Good location, but thats it. Staff is incompetent, everything is dirty, VERY small, no common room, kitchen is hot plate and small fridge. Stay somewhere else.

Small hostel very well located, without much of fun, if you look for a quiet place, go there. if you look for meet people, don t go there.

Hostel is understaffed and beds are overbooked, leaving many without a place to stay. Organization and efficiency is very poor.

Great overall although far too busy at times - there is not enough space when the hostel is running at full capacity. Then the toilet and kitchen facilities are insufficient.
