I enjoyed my stay. They were understaffed at the front desk but that is my only complaint. The rooms were clean, the showers and bathrooms were well maintained, and the food was what you would expect from a hostel. I loved that they showed The Sound of Music every evening at 8pm and they have an agreement with the Sight Seeing Sound of Music Tour (as opposed to Panarama Sound of Music Tour) which you can easily book through at the front desk.

The single room was great, quiet, very clean, newly renovated and has flat-screen satellite TV. The next day, there was no single room available and I stayed in a 8-bed hostel room. It was rather noisy and the toilets/ bathrooms were not clean. The locker was huge. Breakfast was ok but not fantastic. The baggage storage room is locked but anyone can ask for the key, so I didn´t feel it was very safe to put my luggage there.

Thank you for the stay at your guesthouse. I like the location as it gave me opportunities to walk around the old town and soak up the history of the place. In terms of the guesthouse I did find that the noise level was far too high. As a teacher I appreciate the 'youthfulness' of the place, however a great deal of the time the young ones were screaming around the place and making lous noised very late at night, which made it very hard to have quality sleep. Perhaps they need to be reminded that

The staff at this hostel were the friendliest and most helpful I came across anywhere over the month I was in Europe. Bad Gastein is a fabulous location if you want a hiking experience right in the heart of the mountains. The little township has heaps of character, but be prepared to walk up and down steep slopes. It was a little quiet while I was there, because the busy summer season hadn't arrived yet.

Located within a ten-minute walk of the "old town" touristy stuff, and the breakfast was great. The bathrooms were pretty clean, and the staff were helpful, too.

Lots and lots of loud kids all over this hostel. Caters to a family/younger crowd. Decent location and a definitely a safe spot to stay.

This is by far the nicest hostel we've ever stayed in. Rooms are spacious and clean, and the bathroom was amazing! Breakfast is filling and included with the price of the room. This place is a little out of the way, but Salzburg is not a big city. We started getting nervous when our cab started going down some dark alleys to get there, but don't worry- this place is extremely safe and just a 5-10 minute walk to the city's center!
