Very clean. Only down was an intermittanly strong odour in the urinal area of the bathroom. Lady who managed was very kind, helpful and eager to assist in any way.

This was the best place ever. Convenient location, free internet, cool room (temperature and otherwise), really affordable, plenty of amenities, spotlessly clean, bikes available for rent... And most of all, Yumiko - the owner. She bent over backwards for us the entire time. She even had a little Yakiniku barbacue on the roof for some of the other guests and us one night. In short, I already know where I am going to stay during my next visit to Kyoto.

Functional, cheap, an ok location - close to Kyoto station. The lady in charge speaks little english but makes an effort to help. Not a homely feel, but not a bad place to stay.

the location is great and the staff is helpful, on the downside, the bathroom smelled absolutely disgusting and was masked with an even more foul peach air freshner. if you dont intend on sleeping in the bathroom or coming in at 2am (because i hear the madame of the house ms.sukai promptly locks the door at 11pm with no mercy)then this is the place to stay!

There is only one shower, so if its busy, you may end up waiting a bit.
