Teresa's house is quaint, comfortable, and the hospitality was unlike any other we experienced. If you're going to Colonia, stay here!

This is a good place to stay if you don't mind being a little far away from the centre of town. It's a clean place and the owner is nice. The drawbacks: if it's winter time go prepared as the insulation is not the best and I literally slept in a toque. Also there was no water pressure available when I was there.

Teresa is a wonderful host. We had 11 in our group and took over the place. There was a central area we could hang out in too. A bit of a walk to city center.

Teresa was super friendly, and really happy to help (even though we hardly spoke any spanish!). There is a sort of patio outside with a "asado" type grill pit where we were able to start a fire and cook a steak. Also, there´s a market a block north that we didn´t see until we left. This place was a nice change from regular type hostels, my boyfriend and I were able to get a double private room for as much as a 6-person dorm bed in an HI hostel.
