Welcome - Failte - Willkommen - Accueil - Bienvenido - Benvenuto - Benvinguda - Bem Vindo - Powitanie from all over the world to Keel Lodge. This is a historical house full of character and old world charm, and a host with a lot of local knowledge. We are located on Aghinish peninsula (Special Area of Conservation) on Lough Mask, it is a nature lover\'s paradise, and eco-traveller\'s dream. The accommodation has been restored and converted to retain old features of the limestone in the unspoilt landscape, bedrooms feature lovely views of mountains and lake and some have feature stone walls and fireplaces.
It is perfect for individuals, couples, or families and we are also pet friendly. There are inside and outside communal areas for guests and designated smoking areas. The In-house Chef also offers an excellent cooked Irish Breakfast, and home made preserves, museli and fresh fruit salad. There is also the option of booking a 3 course dinner menu, all ingredients are locally sourced fish or meats and vegetables and herbs are organically grown in their own garden.
Fly-fishing packages can be organised with boat hire and equippment hire, or you can fish off-shore in Lough Mask, or Lough Cara both world class fishing lakes for wild brown trout, perch, or pike.
Hiking or biking can be arranged on some of the best trails in Europe, The Greenway noted for scenic coastal and mountain trails is a short drive away or Croagh Patrick mountain.Horseriding, or play a round of Golf are just some of the other activities that are all within a few miles from us.
Book a cookery workshop with the qualified In-House Chef, suitable for 2-6 persons. We offer an additional unique class with our qualified TEFL teacher, so while you learn to cook, you can also learn English! There will be English class notes from the kitchen equippment, compilation of verbs and recipes given to students and a nature walk to select wild ingrediants. This is a unique way to learn new skills and combining the English language with a dining experience.

Galway is easily accessible by public transport 40km away. Ryanair now flies to Knock airport which is 45mins by car, serving flights from Spain, France, Italy, Germany, UK, Canary Islands.

Encircled by the shores of stunning Lough Mask and Lough Carra, Keel Lodge is an 18th-century former hunting lodge offering rooms with scenic views, and freshly caught fish from the lough. You can enjoy picnic basket lunches, fishing on Lough Mask, and full Irish breakfasts.
With views of the lakes and mountains, each unique room at Keel Lodge is named after a fishing lure, and features an en suite bathroom. Some rooms also enjoy extras such as a feature fireplace or original stone wall.
