Rapunzel Hostel is centrally located in the hip and happening area of Istanbul, 'Galata' (in the Beyoglu district) offering a budget hostel next to the famous Galata Tower.

Istiklal Street, with its nightlife, shopping and famous cosmopolitan atmosphere is only 5 min away; as is Tunel square, which is officially the trendiest place in Istanbul right now, with a mixture of cool cafe and bars. The old city 'Sultanahmet', which holds all the principle monuments of Istanbul, is also 5 min away by tram.

The nearest metro station is 2 min, tram and bus stops are 3 min walking distance away from our beloved hostel. It is a place at the heart of the city, offering you a cosy and comfortable base from which to explore the unforgettable beauty of Istanbul.

Our Story

We, as three close friends, refuse to become grownups have decided to create a place for cultural conjunction in hip area of Istanbul, Galata (old Genoesean center of Istanbul). So we are waiting for people all around the world to create an environment that encompasses divergent cultures; a place where not any culture dominates over the others. The space is formed by the idea of diy (do-it-yourself); this attitude is reflected to bathrooms, common areas, to even the kitchen stuff and is a tribute to amateurism. The building is over 150 years old and has been recently refurbished. This beautiful building gives the chance not just to see Istanbul's history but also to sleep in it! Our beloved rooms are spacious, brick-walled, clean and they all have private bathrooms, AC, lockers, vanity mirrors, headlights for every guest and curtains for bunk bed.
