Backpacker's Family House in Lima has been successfully run for six years. A place that builds upon experience and one of the best service in Peru, We awarded in 2008 an 2009 as the best hostel in Peru by Hostelworld.
We are the closest hostel to the beach!. Centrally and strategic located in Miraflores, one of the nicest and safest neighborhood in Lima.
Surrounded by .green parks, restaurants and a good bakery. Just 2 blocks from the hostel, there is a wide sidewalk where you can walk, jog or cycle in a safe environment.
We are also just 5 minutes from the center of Miraflores and Larcomar Shopping Center, the best shopping in Lima, situated cliffside facing the ocean.
If you enjoy the adrenaline of adventure sports, 5 min walking distance, you can find the Makaha Beach. Rent a boards and wetsuits for surfing and you could practice; skate, paragliding and cycling.
Backpacker's Family House in Lima offers clean private and mix rooms. You will find a 24hr reception service, hot water, free towels, linen, Living room with TV 42' LCD, DVD player, free access to the kitchen, free Internet, and Wi-Fi, Book exchange, Barbecue facilities, free security Lockers, etc. Pick-up service can be arranged; we strongly recommend it.

Backpackers family house is a great place to stay and after travelling for 5 months staying in many different places, I´m impressed about this place. The staff is fantastic, very friendly, helpful, funny and relaxed. The hostel it self is great with good kitchen facilities, good rooms, hot showers, free wifi and computer with internet and good common areas and tv for chilling and hanging out.The free breakfast in the morning is good to get you going and a view of the pacific is 2 minute walk. The rooms were clean, the staff was very helpful and the location is good. The hostel and our room was quite cold (in october). The breakfast was ok, but nothing to mention about. You could hear the noise within the hostel (talking, door bell etc) clearly at least in the room we were staying at. Pia, from Finland ~ 21st Oct 2012
