The hostel Piccola Quercia (Little Oak) is in the green centre of Italy, in Umbria.
More specifically it is located in Stroncone, one of the most suggestive villages of medieval origin, near Piediluco lake, Marmore waterfall, at 5 minutes from Terni, St.Valentins city and not far from the main touristic places of Umbria and Lazio: Spoleto, Assisi, Todi, Narni, S. Maria degli Angeli and Rieti.
The Little Oak, which was the abode of a family of mayers, has been recently restored: it combines the original structure with new spaces full of comforts.
Its basic idea is to maintain the Umbrian traditions, ancient and genuine tastes, smells and way of living.
The Little Oak is completely immersed in the green, an angle of Paradise where the guests will be well welcomed by the kindness and simplicity of its proprietess and can be feel as at home.
The hostel consists of 3 floors: the ground floor is a basement that opens with the lying behind portico, the 1st floor has a little reception and 4 rooms and on the top floor the remaining rooms.
Each room has a balcony from where you can enjoy an amazing view but what is characteristic is the oak, now secular, (21 meters high), that seems to hold the house on its roots.
This is not only a place where you can relax and escape from everyday life: placed along the Franciscan path, it has welcomed pilgrims of each corner of the world.
This is also a place for the lovers of extreme sports and nature:
rafting, free climbing, horse riding, bungee jumping, canyoning, mountain bike and speleology are the main activities of the area.
The property is located at about 6km from Terni.
In alternative we can organize you visits to Carsulae (the Etruscan archeological site) or hiking in the environs.
