Baraka Aquarium Bungalows in Zanzibar, Tanzania

The Baraka Aquarium Bungalows are situated in the North Coast of Zanzibar Island, in the more quiet side of Nungwi, near the Lighthouse (Mnarani). The four bungalows, recently renovated, are a three-minute walk from the beach. They open up to a garden with a natural pool where you are most welcome to swim with green turtles and various tropical fish.

Each bungalow has a room with a double bed and ensuite bathroom. We do not have twin bedded rooms, although we can add an extra bed to the double room ($12/night with breakfast).. Hot water. Ceiling fans. Immaculately clean. Breakfast included, served on the balcony.

HOLIDAYING WITH CHILDREN?
We are family friendly. Kids love swimming with the giant turtles. This makes a nice break from the beach.

DO YOU LIKE QUIET BEACHES?
The beaches to the north side from Baraka are peaceful and quiet.

DO YOU LIKE TO WATCH SWAHILI VILLAGE LIFE AND THE FISHING ACTIVITY?
Walk a short distance to the south side.

DO YOU LIKE TO ENJOY A FEW BARS, GOOD FOOD AND A LIVELIER ATMOSPHERE?
Walk 15 minutes in the low tide towards the south side of the beach.

We can arrange for you snorkelling and diving trips, visits to spice farms or Jozani Forest, or any other programs that might suit you at very reasonable prices. Discuss them with us!
