At first I thought it was not gonna be good but it was great for the price I payed and the best part was that the train station was only around te corner It only took me 20min to get to the 42nd Street (Time Square) and the staff was really friendly.

it would help if the people managed the beds properly....there was a time when my bed was taken already. It doesn't seem like they have a firm system on making sure people's beds are assigned correctly. Overall, I would stay there again.

I chose this hostel because it was cheap and regretted not going somewhere a bit nicer. The taxes came to an additional $10 a night, so the advertised price of $15 was really $25. Everything was ok, although the building ventilation was bad and my room stank so much that it was hard to sleep one night.

It was very much indeed a home away from home. The rooms were tidy and simple and the bathrooms were always clean. There are fabulous tours, which I recommend because the tour guide is fantastic. Theres a patio outdoors, and movie nights happen frequently. Overall I had such a lovely time there, I'm hoping

We stayed at the 5th Ave Spot Hostel for three nights in a private twin room with enclosed bathroom. The hostel is pretty new and interior and exterior look friendly and inviting. The Harlem location is okay; we just used the hostel to sleep and it's easy to get Downtown by subway. Cleanliness was pretty good, security great (video-monitoring, key-cards, locked luggage room). Staff is a little slow, but friendly and helpful.
The contemporary chairs in front of the fireplace in the lobby are a
