The front of the building doesn't look the greatest, as it is sort of a alley way. But once you're inside it very well kept. The first night we booked online, but they overbooked the hostel, and put us up in a hotel for the night. It was AWESOME!!! but too good to be true. The next night we were back in the hostel and spent the rest of the trip there becasue the people were so nice.
Thanks guiys!!!

This is actually for the Dakota building, where all private rooms for the Adelaide are located (I think the Dakota hotel is listed on here seperately).

We stayed in the Dakota Hotel, which seems to belong to the Hostel. Very loud, if your room is out to the street.

Un poco caro para el estado de conservación (con especial mención al precario nivel de limpieza), si bien, en términos generales el sitio no está mal. El ascensor es impresionante, ¡propio de una peli de miedo!

Nice and well-run hostel which is very centrally located near Union Square and in a nice neighborhood. Good beds with lockers underneath. Clean bathrooms (but towels are too big and unhandy). Friendly and professional staff - quickly rearranged persons so that we could stay an an extra night the first as we had made an error in the booking (remember that when you come from Europe, it is probably the _same_ day in San Francisco when you arrive...). Good and solid breakfast in a maybe little noisy

I made the reservation for Adelaide but they sent me to their sister hostel, Dakota (almost across the street), just as good.

Friendly people, got lots of help from the brochures and staff. Couldn't get connected to the wireless network from the last floor, but that's fine, you could get connected on the ground floor and there's also plenty of computers around.
Pretty cozy decor.
