A charming hostel - not the easiest to find but definitely worth it!Great little location behind the blue mosque and near a great cafe called Cafe Meshale in the Arasta Bazaar and minutes from Aya Sofya, Blue Mosque and Topkapi palace. We had a ground floor 4-bed dorm - it was noisy at night, but coming from London this didn't faze us, and the bathroom was a bizarre combination of shower room and toilet, but functional. Staff are fantastic - very approachable and even taught us card games! Tess, from England ~ 16th Sep 2009

Very good hostel for a very good price! Hostel is located in the middle of the centre pretty much, basic, but clean rooms. Shower and such got somewhat dirty throughout the day, but were cleaned every day in the morning. And most of all: very helpful and friendly staff! We enjoyed our stay here and would certainly recommend it. Brian & Recep Brian, from Netherlands ~ 29th Jul 2009

Great hostel! I'm not sure where the other comments are coming from as there was water, the owner is very nice and the whole area is a perfect location since it is so close to everything. It is clean, breakfast is different every morning and go see Rajit in the little store downstairs, he's nice too.

A very pleasant hostel where it is a real pleasure to stay. Real care has been taken by the owner to provide a good 'home' feel with nice decorations and a cozy central living room on the top floor with a nice sight out of the window. It is exactly the right size (not too big) so it feels very pleasant. This is surely no hostel where people become a number. Also, the friendly and funny staff gives personal attention and makes everyone feel at home. I didn't experience any pressure for the staf J, from Netherlands ~ 21st Jun 2009

We stay 3 nights in this hotel in a private room with shared bathroom and toilets. The room est very simply without a real bed. The hotel have to made efforts on the shared toilets and bathroom. It was to old ! The hotel is too noisy. The staff is too young and without experience to welcome tourists: talk about interests in Istanbul or something like that. The breakfast is so poor and always the same. Tomatoes and cucumber and a cup of tea. We do no recommend this hotel. BERKOUS, from France ~ 21st Jun 2009

This is actually a nice hostel with some friendly staff. However, although the bathroom has recently been rennovated the sink was very smelly. I think an exteriour bathroom would have been a better choice. Dominic, from Germany ~ 16th Jun 2009
