the hostel is located right above a bar so it gets extremely noisy in the night - making it very difficult to get any rest. also, there is no air conditioning and there is a prevalent mosquito problem. hence, combined with the noise, i never got any rest at all and if that isnt the worst, the staff was extremely aloof - didnt even care to help at all Benedict, from Malaysia ~ 12th Aug 2011

We arrived early, at about 7 or 8 am. Near the buzzer (to get in) was a phone number to call to be let in, which is excellent for those with mobile phones but difficult for those without phones or phone cards and tobacco shops that are not open! Security is poor, no place to lock up luggage in dorms. Kitchen smelled horrible and was dirty. I saw staff change bed sheets without washing or changing blanket. Staff very grumpy. Near bars, so VERY LOUD at night. WiFi good, NO BREAKFAST, NO TOWELS. Jennifer, from USA ~ 27th Jul 2011

The gentleman on staff was not very helpful, but there was a information office just a few doors down that helped us receive the information we needed.The place is noisy at night, so I would recommend bringing ear plugs.Other than that, the location is great, although a bit difficult to find.The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean.I would use it again. Although there's no staff at all and it's definetely not a place to have fun and make friends, i had a great time over there. It's located at the best place it could ever be. Staff was never around.Our room was supposed to only have 5 beds but they added a 6th one.No air conditioning, it was really hot at night, and very noisy because there was construction going on outside and the window had to be kept open.We also didn't get our "free bottle of wine" for staying for more than 2 days.We got there a day later than we were supposed to but they still charged us for the tourist tax. No staff on site, too many people in each room - we had another bed added that meant the cupboard blocked the window - and it was 37 degrees! no fan to even create a breeze.Shower flooded bathroom, no toilet paper. Rotten food in fridge and on shelves in kitchen. Good location but they really need to look at improving a few areas to make your stay comfortable. Kelly, from Australia ~ 17th Jul 2011
