The location is the best thing about this place. Close to really good shopping, food and bars. The hostel was clean with good facilities, breakfast and some meals. Free wi-fi was good too. The only let down was the atmosphere, there was no bar and the place didn't really organise any good parties or anything like that. Claire, from Australia ~ 5th Aug 2011

i tried to stay in this hostel.i paid a $15 hold fee on a debit card that i discovered has not been returned. i paid $30 cash and was put in a room with a very noisy AC unit. they had no other beds. when i told the clerk i could not sleep because of the noise and that i wanted a refund he refused to refund my $30, said my card was not charged $15 when it was. I ended up leaving and forfitting my $30 to go to another hostel in the area. james, from USA ~ 30th Jul 2011

This hostel is not that close to anything in LA or westhollywood, but since it is in LA, no place can be really close, soOk! However totally agree that the staffs are really rude! They treat U like u r living prison ! Most receptionists are parttime workers and are guests in hotel as well, I guess they are very cheap illegal workers,so what can U expect? The only thing they can do is to threat U, tell U that U r not welcomed if U do not listen to them and read the 100 notices in papers ! Besides Jian, from China ~ 5th Aug 2011

A good place to party, with activities most nights and even free drinks some nights. The place was let down by an arrogant attitude from the day-time receptionist and by the ridiculously harsh rules plastered all over the place in block letters. There must at least 100 of these signs around the place. These rules are accompanied by threats to be thrown out of the hostel, not be refunded for any extra nights, and have your deposit taken away. Great place to stay, staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Great spot to walk to the grove and farmer's market. Nowhere to lock your bakpacks, only a very small locker provided in the room. but otherwise, great! and free wi-fi was good too. Bridget, from Australia ~ 5th May 2011
