Had fun at this hostel, really homely and welcoming, they have their very own australia wildlife reserve in the garden which is really cool, miss gizmo already :( Will definately recommend this hostel to laid back easy going travellers looking for something different from the normal loud bar/nightclub type hostel. Mostly I didn't like this hostel because they kept adding on hidden fees. We booked at $29 a night on the internet then they added a $10 late check-in fee (late= after 3pm!!!!) and made you pay to wash your own sheets at the end ($3).The room smelled like urine. And they put our clearly marked cornflakes in the free bin and put a big message telling everyone to help themselves. Worst place I have ever stayed and I am not exaggerating there. I think it is very weird that customers have go clean the linens hostel is providing. And even worst is that they must pay the laundry and the washing powder by themselves! Usually housekeeping is doing this job... Our room was a little dirty, as we stood in a flat a few blocks away from the hostel. And there were no lights in the corridor or they were broken so that made the house a little creepy. Reception girl was really kind and nice, but the hostel wasn't that comfortable.
