Positive: The hostel has a very good location. Downtown, near the cablecar station, near the BART. Staff are very friendly! Negative: Breakfast is very very poor! Toast, oat and some drinks! I don't know why but the atmosphere in this hostel, was the better I ever experienced. The stuff was helpful, kind, and very very active, they try to make you comfortable and they do very well. The beds are good, the location is the best. No bad comment for this hostel, maybe it's not the most fancy, but it's the best I ever stay, I recommend it totally. marcos, from Spain ~ 10th Nov 2011

Very old, beaten up hostel. All the amenities are very old, and not the cleanest. U have to wait for warm water for about 5 min and the window in the bathroom is hard to close. Rooms either overlook very loud, busy street or are like dungeons. Our "window" looked out on the wall, closed at the top with glass, meaning that there was like no window at all, and no fresh air, only asian food smells from the asian restaurant below. The hostel had a bad odour.Maybe it was from the damp. Not sure why as the staff cleaned it well. We had to buy air neutralizer for our room. Pretty scary neighbourhood, was too scared to walk down the street alone because of the amount of homeless crack head zombies roaming the streets. Shannon, from Australia ~ 5th Nov 2011
