Hotel is old and needs renovation but it was fine for rooming the few nights we were there. The staff friendly depending on who is at the front desk, but they tended to our basic needs nonetheless. The location is on the block entrance of Chinatown and it is down the street to a good mix of shops. There is no air condition in the room we stayed at but the weather did not require it. Friendly, helpful and knowledgable staff. really close to Union Sqaure and half an hours walk from fisherman's wharf. Quite noisy outside but not enough to prevent me sleeping (a light sleeper). Competitive rates! Amy, from England ~ 24th Sep 2009

Cheap and ok. Only stayed here 1 night for 4th July as all Hostels were full. It did the job and was nice to have my own space for a night. Think very basic bed & en-suite. Considering it was 4th July, I was amazed at there being availability and the price. Stevie, from Wales ~ 24th Jul 2009

I took my great niece up to San Francisco. It was the first time that we went up together and that we stayed at the Grant Plaza Hotel. It was located in the heart of Chinatown. The staff was nice and help me make it a trip that my great niece will not forget. The only bad part was that I'm a Big guy 6ft plus and over 280 pound and the bathroom was little cramped for me. The hotel cost a little over $200 for 2 nights. But the location was well worth the price.
Sorry to hear that the bathroom is too small for you. Some of our rooms have bigger bathroom especially on the top floor with 2 double beds. Please ask for top floor room next time. We hope to see you soon! thank you.
