The hostel is located perfectly for someone who wants to explore the main sights in Madrid's city centre. Calle Atocha is a bit on the side and it is not as loud as the nearby Puerta del Sol, even though you are in the heart of Madrid. The hostel staff are very friendly and have a good command of English. We did not encounter any difficulties during our stay. The rooms are cleaned every day and everything is in a good state. The hostal is situated close to Santa Anna which is THE food and fun corner of Madrid with Restaurants, Bars and so on. With breakfast at the Peter Pan Coffee place next door to Hostal Martin you can start your day. Its cheap and fully equipped with yummy fresh baked food. The Hostal-staff is very helpful and they speak fluently english. The Hostal is in very good conditions and is very clean. The main street is the only reason I do not give full points, it was very loud at night because the win Till, from Germany ~ 3rd Nov 2011

Excellent location. Easy to find. Helpful and efficient staff - english speaking. Clean rooms with air-conditioning - big plus. High sense of security with in-door camera surveillance and locker in room. Nice and safe area with lots of cafés for having breakfast and restaurants for dining. Close to shopping area and foremost of all close to all major sites of interest in Madrid. We were very pleased with our stay and we will recommend this hostel to friends visting Madrid. Located in the perfect place in Madrid!! You can take your breakfast just beside the hostal. It's clean and well secured. Prices are correct and the staff can speak english and fench. Be careful, the rooms near the reception are very noisy. Patrick, from France ~ 22nd Mar 2011
