I highly recommend this hostel to hikers, beach lovers, and anyone visiting the Cinque Terre region. The 2.5 hour hike from Levanto (where the hotel is situated) to the Cinque Terre is actually more stunning (and significantly less crowded) than the more famous Cinque Terre trail. Also, while the Cinque Terre towns are overrun with international tourists, the tourists in Levanto are mostly Italian, making the town feel more "authentic." Great hostel that is both clean and nicely furnished. Though not part of the cinque terre, Levanto is a nice town in itself and definitely a great place to spend the night. The one main drawback is that the office is closed for a majority of the afternoon, which can make check-in a bit challenging. John, from USA ~ 22nd Jun 2009

Really clean and enjoyable hostel! A bit of a walk but not bad unless you get there really late, in which case it is creepy. Would stay there again! Levanto is more relaxing than the cinque terre towns, and it's a short train ride away from them anyway. Diana, from Costa Rica ~ 6th Jul 2009
