Esse hostel tem 1 ponto a favor: é bem localizado. Mas não recomendo pq a higiene do local deixa mto a desejar principalmente nos banheiros que estão sempre imundos. E tivemos 2 casos de roubo: 1 no meu próprio quarto (privado) foi roubado 1 carregador e no quarto de outras brasileiras (também privado) foi roubado o equivalente a 500 pesos. O que leva a crer que as camareiras fizeram pois elas acessam o quarto para limpar. O gerente nada fez sobre essas ocorrências. Não recomendo. Roberta, from Brazil ~ 18th Feb 2010

I got countless bites from mosquitoes and mattress bugs. No air-con in the room and there's only one weak fan for 6 people. Only 2 bathrooms on each floor and they are not clean. Someone got her laptop and clothes stolen from locker in the room. Half of the rooms locate by a busy noisy street and no one can sleep at all. we had bedbugs in our room and when they told us we were going to be moved, we weren't. they told us that our room was exterminated but we still had bugs crawling on the walls. it certainly soured our trip to BA. Patricia, from USA ~ 28th Jan 2010

There were a lot of people and in the common areas always a lot of noise and if you have to ask for something at the reception sometimes you had to wait a very long time. This has got to be one of the best hostels I've stayed in yet! The staff were friendly and helpful, great location, very clean, and excellent travel service available too! Good breakfast which is included, free internet, free dvd hire, good range of daily activities to book onto from reception too. The building doesn't look much from the front but once inside is a beautiful old style building with original features- private doubles were really nice.We are coming back here in a few weeks!
