When we arrived, the cleaning lady had just begun doing her job, and all she did was towel the floor, with her foot. There was no working light, other than the desk lamp, and nowhere to hang jackets, even in the armoire with no hanger bar...or hangers. Bathrooms were less than desirable. The worker at the front desk was never there, and we were out of toilet paper for 24 hours. The hostel smelled weird and Veronique was never there, unless she was the cleaning lady, and she was NOT fantastic. Erik, from Canada ~ 6th Feb 2010

1)Stayed three days and we are not sure the shared bathrooms were ever clean as the toilets had familiar stains. 2)Last day both toilets broke and one didn't have a seat. 3)Double bed had thin mattresses that slide off the frame and apart from one another. 4)Free internet only worked outside our room. 5)Very difficult to find hostel as numbering of streets is poor and there is not a noticeable sign for the hostel on the building. 6)Extremely cold in Hostel. 7)Church bells ring loud all morning. The location is GREAT but it was so hard to find! Then, once we found it, no one answered the door. We waited about 30 minutes before the owner came, but he was very friendly and helpful. It's a small hostel and quiet. The noise outside was not quite, making it hard to sleep at night. It was very clean, though, and we enjoyed our stay at the hostel! Sarah, from USA ~ 10th Nov 2009

Fantastic location right in the centre of town. Place was not bad - shower could certainly do with a clean. Would recommend if you need cheap accommodation in town. Chris, from Australia ~ 3rd Nov 2009

I loved staying at H. Veronique, we had a very warm greeting and Veronique was soooooooooooo sweet all the time!!!! It's located in the perfect spot, near everything. We had a very good time and loved Florence. Paola, from Bolivia ~ 22nd Jul 2009
