The hostel itself is great, it's just the area nearby which I can not recommend. Capitol Heights for those who know it, is kind of strange, especially in the evening hours. If you are not frightend by anything, have a pleasent stay there. Nico, from Germany ~ 14th Oct 2011

Laura's House itself is great. It is the location that works against it. It's not set in a great neighborhood, and though the subway station is walking distance away, you're advised against walking. And close to dark it's advisable to take a cab. More than one cab driver commented on staying in the "hood". Sujata, from India ~ 27th Apr 2011
