I can sincerely recommend this establishment. Having sampled most of the local competition at some time or another over the years it is Long Street Backpackers I keep returning to again and again. Big thanks to all the wonderful staff at LSB for creating a true home away from home and a particularly to Kev who found it in his heart to forgive me for a rare moment of utter disgrace. david, from England ~ 2nd Oct 2009

Long Street Backpackers totally rocks, the security is excellent and it is right in the middle of everything, especially if you like clubbing. The staff are fantastic and the bar is character rich environment if you want to relax and have a couple of bears. I was only going to stay for 4 nights, now im going to stay the better part of a month. I defiantly recommend this hostel. Julia, from New Zealand ~ 9th Nov 2008
