staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were very handy (except the internet and the internet room on 3rd floor, something to improve on). i stayed in an all-girls' dorm room. first few nights i was alone, so that was nice. later on, some other single female travellers also booked into the room. one of them had waaaay too much luggage - at least 3 large trunks. i think the hostel should limit the amount of luggage hostel-users bring to such a small space. Unfortunately the hostel was pretty empty during my visit but it is clear that they put their guests as the top priority. The hostel is clean, has a friendly staff and a lot of free stuff (dinner, breakfast, wifi). Other activities were offered that i didn't join because i had plans of my own but the place clearly takes advantage of its perfect location close to the gaslamp quarter for party-ppl. Great hostel - clean, cheap & good fun. Only criticism is the noise: do not stay here if you are a light sleeper!!! My room was facing onto the street with a bar below, and one across the road and the noise was absolutely unbelivable!! Thumping through the walls & floor at +11 you need to be able to sleep through it if you're in bed before 3 or so!! But otherwise it's a seriously great hostel - free breakfast, great people from all over the world, something on every night. Sean, from England ~ 29th Aug 2011

this was a very well located hostel, in the center of downtown. there's only 2 showers per floor so it can get very crowded. we had a private room that was clean, had a fridge, tv and a fan. parking next to the hostel is very cheap (5$ for 10 hours on weekdays).computers with free internet (although 2 out of 6 weren't working). all in all a nice hostel. would recommend Francois, from Canada ~ 4th Sep 2011
