This is an excellent hostel despite the fact that one of my hostel mates ripped me off $500 US while I was eating breakfast. I was told that a theft of a laptop and cash had happened a month earlier, so I think New Ostel would benefit from installing secure lockers in each hostel room. The location is in a boring area of Florence though it is convenient to the Main Train Terminal. An excellent staff and great breakfast each day. James H., from USA ~ 3rd Dec 2009

Very good hostel, the owners were very nice and gentle, and also funny. Rooms very confortable, the bathroom was good. The area is safe, just a little dark at night outside and they were repairing something outside, but it is fine. Very good option, affordable, good price. No lockers, but everything was OK. Everything is good! Hv Free Wifi in your room! the one thing is that one nite when I was bathing, there was suddenly no water for the whole building and that sucks! maybe I am in such a bad luck. A great hostel to stay at. Clean rooms with a good location near the train station. The breakfast was the best I've ever had in a hostel. Since the guy who was supposed to bring the croissants was not there on time, the worker gave us free items from the vending machine to keep us happy. I was happy!! Max, from USA ~ 24th Oct 2009

Very comfortable beds. Great owners and staff, they were very helpful and nice. Their facilities are fantastic for a hostel at this price. (Free internet and games.) If you are coming from the train station it is a great location not far away. Hilary, from USA ~ 13th Oct 2009

Great location near the train station. Clean and new. Great breakfast. Downsides are that there are no security lockers and MOSQUITOS and BEDBUGS GALORE!!! I got bit over 15 times during the 3 nights I was there Jonathan, from USA ~ 24th Sep 2009
